“Massage brings me immense joy, allowing me to create deeply relaxing experiences for my clients.”

My journey into massage therapy began during my teenage years as a high-performing athlete, receiving weekly massages to support my training.

I started my professional journey by studying Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in Melbourne, where I graduated with First Class Honours in 2005. My early career included working as a junior Physiotherapist in one of Melbourne's largest hospitals before moving to Brisbane for a PhD at the University of Queensland’s School of Medicine. My research focused on the effects of regular exercise on cancer risk factors, and I later explored the benefits of physiotherapist-led exercise post-abdominal surgery.

After completing my PhD I returned to Wangaratta, taking on a role at Northeast Health, where I was appointed manager of the Physiotherapy department in 2016. By the end of 2021, I made the decision to step back from my career due to personal stressors and the impact of the pandemic.

It was during this time that I rediscovered my passion for massage therapy.

In 2023, I earned a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy from Wodonga TAFE and founded Warby Massage. Massage brings me immense joy, allowing me to create deeply relaxing experiences for my clients. I find my work as a massage therapist both energising and peaceful, affirming that this is my true calling. My vision for Warby Massage is to craft magical environments that offer memorable and transformative experiences.

You may not know…

I was born and raised in Wangaratta and still have a large extended family all around me.

Our family loves spending time in nature; enjoying bushwalking, camping and hosting epic playdates on our 5-acre property near the Warby-Ovens National Park. We've had a blast playing 'Quidditch' with a homemade arena and creating real-life Minecraft adventures with potions and wooden swords.

I have a passion for throwing big parties, like the spectacular Circus-themed celebration I organized for my 40th birthday, complete with guest performances, popcorn, and fairy floss. It took a year to plan but was worth every moment. I also enjoy hosting kid-free gatherings with my girlfriends to relax and reconnect beyond our roles as mothers.

Dance is another love of mine, and over the years I've enjoyed classes in adult jazz, funk and tap dancing. I'm also deeply committed to volunteering and fundraising, especially for causes supporting women and girls in Wangaratta. As a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, I recently co-hosted a Women's Dance Party, raising $4000 for local survivors of family violence. It was an incredibly rewarding experience, and I look forward to throwing more dance parties in the future!
